Compliance Services International (CSI) has a vacancy for a Principal Consultant attached to its office in Edinburgh, Scotland.

CSI provides regulatory and scientific consulting services to the agrochemical, biocide, chemical and consumer product industries.

Candidates should ideally have a proven ability in serving private sector clients and interfacing with government agencies. The successful candidate will provide regulatory assistance to registrants seeking to comply in particular with European Union (EU) registration requirements.  The position requires close interaction with registration specialists, scientists and support staff at CSI’s offices in the EU and USA.

Key qualities for a successful candidate include initiative, the ability to work well in a “virtual” team environment, and a positive customer focus. Computer literacy and good verbal and written communication skills are essential, and some travel will be required.


At least a degree level qualification in chemistry, biology, environmental sciences, or a related field, combined with considerable direct personal experience of study placement and monitoring, data review and evaluation, risk assessment, dossier preparation and submission, and regulatory liaison, preferably supported by Chartered Chemist, Chartered Biologist, Chartered Scientist and/or European Registered Toxicologist status or equivalent.
