Ashlea Frank to Make Presentation at NatureServe Conference

Ashlea Frank, CSI Principal Consultant, will be making a presentation at NatureServe’s highly regarded biodiversity science and conservation conference “Biodiversity Without Boundaries” to be held at the Lied Lodge in Nebraska City, NE (May 8-12, 2011). Ashlea’s presentation “Applying Multi-Jurisdictional Data to National-Level Pesticide Assessments” will focus on key activities by the FIFRA Endangered Species Task Force (FESTF), a pesticide registrant data development task force.

Her paper will address how FESTF is using NatureServe data, what is done to fill data gaps, how data-quality issues are handled, and how the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is beginning to utilize FESTF’s work products, based on NatureServe data, in their endangered species risk assessment process under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA).
