The Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR, Regulation (EU) 528/2012) concerns the placing on the market and use of biocidal products, which are used to protect humans, animals, materials or articles against harmful organisms, like pests or bacteria, by the action of the active substances contained in the biocidal product.Echa has released an updated list of active substances and suppliers (Article 95) under the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR). The Article 95 list of active substances and suppliers, was first published by ECHA on 24 September 2014. The most recent update was made on 31 October 2017. Amendments to the list:
- Free radicals generated in situ from ambient air or water are now listed for product-types three, five, seven, 11, 12, 13 and 21 in addition to product-types two and four; and
- For product type five, monochloramine generated both from ammonia and a chlorine source and from ammonium hydroxide and a chlorine source are listed.
