CSI President Participates in ACS Webinar on Endangered Species & Pesticides
Bernalyn McGaughey (CSI President/CEO) was a speaker in an American Chemical Society (ACS) webinar co-organized by Ms. McGaughey and Ken Racke (Dow AgroSciences). Sponsored by the ACS Agrochemical Division, the April 3rd webinar "Pesticide Regulation and the ESA" expanded on topics contained in the ACS symposium series book "Pesticide Regulation and the Endangered Species Act" co-edited by Ms. McGaughey (see related article on this News page). The objectives of the webinar were to highlight noteworthy recommendations from the recently released book and to further advance constructive dialogue among key stakeholders. CSI President Editor of ACS Publication
Bernalyn McGaughey, CSI President/CEO, is co-editor of a new publication by the American Chemical Society (ACS): Pesticide Regulation and the Endangered Species Act. The book is being released in the popular ACS Symposium Series and is available online November 2012, with the print version scheduled for early 2013. ACS describes the volume: "This book is the first comprehensive treatment of issues related to pesticide regulation and the Endangered Species Act (ESA). The basis of the book is an emerging spirit of cooperation and constructive dialogue among key stakeholders … the 24 contributed chapters capture a diverse set of viewpoints and include contributions from federal and state regulators, scientists and expert consultants along with agricultural and environmental advocates." In addition to Ms. McGaughey’s contributions, other CSI regulatory and environmental scientists provided input throughout the publication. CSI's President/CEO Honored with CropLife America Award!
Bernalyn McGaughey, President/CEO of Compliance Services International (CSI), has been recognized by CropLife America (CLA) as this year's recipient of "The Workhorse Award". The award signifies Bernalyn's dedicated service to the crop protection industry and CLA, as demonstrated by her "workhorse" diligence on behalf of the industry over the course of many years. In recognizing her industry contributions, CLA stated "Bernalyn is an active member of the Endangered Species Issue Management Team and is always a ready contributor to the strategy and objectives of the team. She has been instrumental in writing comments and speaking on behalf of the industry on numerous important issues."
